OpEdNews - Tue, 09/07/2010 - 08:38
Stupidity has its privileges. Especially when you have an "Rev." in front of your name. Ask Rev. Terry Jones who plans to have his congregation (all 50) burn copies of the Quran. An entire nation and its leading general are pleading with him not to do such an obvious act of hatred, but to date, the man of God will not in any way budge from his mission: to "convert" Muslims away from Islam and prove its violence.

Conservatives celebrate Labor Day by attacking organized labor

OpEdNews - Mon, 09/06/2010 - 23:59

Andrew Breitbart's website Breitbart.tv posted several anti-union videos depicting union members as "thugs" who engage in acts of violence or intimidation against those with which they disagree.

The State of Labor

OpEdNews - Mon, 09/06/2010 - 20:03
The check-mating of Democratic initiatives in Congress increasingly means that progressive causes must be served by private initiative to the greatest degree possible. The cause of labor is the most obvious case in point.

OpEdNews - Mon, 09/06/2010 - 18:40
This crisis began decades ago when a new wave of technology -- things like satellite communications, container ships, computers and eventually the Internet -- made it cheaper for American employers to use low-wage labor abroad or labor-replacing software here at home than to continue paying the typical worker a middle-class wage.

The "Good" Germans of the 21st Century

OpEdNews - Mon, 09/06/2010 - 17:08
I think of all the munitions we used in Iraq. I am disgusted at our use of "depleted" uranium in our ordinance that poisons the air and ground and the water tables and has a half-life of over 400,000 years. Mothers and Fathers in Iraq don't ask if it's a boy or a girl.

The Obama Tragedy: No Narrative

OpEdNews - Mon, 09/06/2010 - 16:57
As long as Obama presents no gripping narrative, like his campaign story, he will not be in charge of his own presidency, risking tragic results. The party with the strongest narrative wins.
