Wednesday, March 23: Candlelight Vigil

ChiSPAN and members of Chicago’s South Side community will join with University of Chicago nurses to fight for healthcare justice. UCMC has cherry-picked profitable patients while diverting patients who cannot cover the cost of their care, or whose diagnoses are deemed unprofitable. Additionally, UCMC jeopardizes the safety of patients at the hospital by neglecting staffing concerns raised by nurses at the facility.
