WOMEN?S access to abortion was negotiated out of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act in the name of “bipartisanship” when the bill passed in March 2010. While the majority of the bill has not yet gone into effect, the rightwing is working hard to put up even more red tape between women and the reproductive services they need. In this meeting, health care providers and activists will discuss why women?s rights to needed health care services are perpetually on the chopping block. Speakers will address how the only way we can have health care justice in this country is by getting rid of the profit-driven insurance industry and creating an improved, expanded Medicare for all and enacting HR 676. Following the speakers there will be ample time to discuss ideas and strategies. [See the Facebook event page]
