Talking to students we found they strongly supported Dr Gill's fresh ideas about the future. Many expressed concerns about prospects for jobs and the future of our economy. They were enthusiastic about Dr Gill's strong approach to change.
"
I just wanted to thank the Gill campaign, and the team of progressive democrats, for your help registering voters on Quad Day. Because of the number of people you were able to marshal, we were able to have a significant presence at the booth Sunday, but more importantly, we had the ability to register nearly 250 students. I would say considering the circumstances concerning the year and the climate for Democrats in general, we were able to do quite well. I do not need to tell you the importance ofthis effort and of the success we were able to have as a result of it.
College Democrats Tent
The College Dems would be happy to assist the Gill campaign in events you have coming in the future."

We really need a congress member who we can count on to advocate our positions. Dr Gill has come close to winning this seat before. As the economy continues to wane, a victory is clearly in reach for Dr Gill, a supporter of working folks and local businesses.
We will be posting further volunteer events soon on our website pdaillinois.org.

This race has really been under the radar. Really glad to see students getting involved. Gill's going to really make a difference.
#2 Standing Up for Workers

It's about time we had someone who actually talks about worker's rights. The president and the congress are pushing more trade deals for big business. Instead of exporting more jobs, how about doing something for workers.
I really like what Gill has on trade:
"We must renegotiate our position within NAFTA and the other trade agreements similar to NAFTA. We must only be involved in trade agreements with tough labor and environmental protections, and these protections must be enforceable through trade sanctions."
Now your talking!!
#3 Fair Farming

After the latest "egg" scandal, is there any doubt that we need a better agriculture policy. I agree with Gill that we need to promote sustainable farms which protect our health and our economy.
We have to revitalize the family farm. Johnson tows the line when you comes to big business. We need to have a real representative.
Go Gill.
#4 Hi, Dr Gill is running in the

Hi,
Dr Gill is running in the general election as a Progressive Democrat. The democrats have not given Dr Gill a penny so far, even though he has come close to beating the republican incumbent twice.
Dr Gill actively supports the rights of working folks and family farmers. Dr Gill is a member of PNHP and thus a unequivocal supported of HR676 Single Payer Medicare for All. Dr Gill supports ending the occupations (including removing the 50k advisors in Iraq) and bring our troops home.
Dr Gill's campaign needs o be elevated on the map. This one will really count. http://www.gill2010.com/ . Go Gill!!
I live in the Chicago area. Would like to see us plan some more trips to IL-15. Go Gill!

We need to put this race on the map. Gill is clearly real progressive change.
We need to elevate this race.

Sometimes it just take one person, a few steps, and we all start moving forward. Like your coverage here. We need more.
Dr David Gill's election is doable. We just need to make it happen. Just take that one step.
See you when you arrive. I'm already telling my friends to please help elect Dr Gill.

Yes, with a little help from our friends, we can pull this one off. A win would be nice.
Go Gill
#8 Nice to see some young folks getting involved

Just wanted to say it's really nice to see some younger folks getting involved. Had just read an article that claimed progressives where either exclusively involved in social movement building or elector work. Somehow the article implied you can't do both.
Nice to see that we can. Keep up the great work.
